I am applying for the Graphic Design BA due to the course structure, freedom of experimentation, critical and tangential approach to concept and the dedicated tutors who provide a platform for open forum feedback. I enjoy hands on learning and a wide variety of resources, which are critical to me and my practice. This is yet another reason why Kingston has caught my attention. I feel I am suitable for studying on this course because I am very involved in my work and enjoy pushing briefs and utilizing quantitative resources; I am an individual who produces work based on both course set briefs and self initiated projects. My work suits Kingston University because it is versatile, experimental and I am not afraid to venture out of comfort zones. I have a good research methodology which often takes me out of the studio to galleries, museums and other places of interest in order to gain primary research. After visiting an open day I learned how the environment aims to nurture, challenge and encourage different approaches. I can conclude that this learning environment would benefit me in my pursuit to graduate as a skilled and well rounded designer.
